Business Spotlight: Jim Paulson and Jess Johnson
Cheyenne Mountain Resort is taking on a whole new look! Recently acquired by Dolce Hotels & Resorts at the end of last year, the resort plans to make some big investments in this iconic resort. Currently, the resort just completed a half-million-dollar renovation of the club’s main outlet, rebranding it and bringing back the historic Gates name to the property. Dolce plans on investing millions within the entire asset that will include renovations to the Country Club of Colorado along with the main resort. New additions will include a contemporary indoor swimming facility along with full renovations of the resort’s guest rooms and public spaces.
These transformation efforts are being headed up by a few new faces to the organization. Jess Johnson, the new Director of Sales & Marketing, whose background includes transforming and repositioning top-destination luxury resorts to new and innovative ground-up builds, will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the sales and marketing efforts. Jim Paulson, who joins the team from the Broadmoor resort, will head up the Country Club of Colorado food and beverage program along with overseeing the newly renovated Gates Grille. He brings decades of culinary experience and five-star service to the team and plans to create a whole new level of service and food quality within the Country Club of Colorado.
“Through our unique approach to the art of hospitality, we take seemingly routine moments and experiences and turn them into extraordinary ones. The next chapter of the resort will provide imaginative environments for guests to connect, create, and discover. State-of-the-art meeting spaces with advanced technology, paired with our sophisticated food and beverage program, offer an ideal combination for stimulating creativity and providing a true luxury resort experience,” - says Jess Johnson.
